At the initiative of the ministry responsible for promoting investment, the city of Aného in Togo closed the national tour devoted to the Territorial Marketing Strategy (SMT) this week.
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, the ministry, with the assistance of the German cooperation GIZ, held a workshop with the goal of making the regions more appealing to investors in order to attract investment.
Economic and Tourist Potential
Local stakeholders were informed about land access issues, investment strategies to increase the region’s competitiveness, and economic opportunities during this workshop.

In this sense, Aného, the former capital and significant transatlantic trade hub situated between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Togo, can rely on a highly promising nautical and ecological tourism ecosystem. In addition to its rich cultural legacy, the area is geographically close to Benin. As a result, the city is a magnet for both domestic and foreign investors.
A bold plan for territorial investment
Rodrigue Akué-Atsa, the ministry’s representative, reiterated the government’s dedication to assisting projects that bolster the territories’ economic growth. Regarding himself, themayor of the
