In 2024, Beninese Nationals were the Leading Entrepreneurs in Togo.

In 2024, Beninese nationals led the creation of companies in Togo within the foreign category. Data from the Business Formalities Center (CFE) indicates that Beninese individuals established 505 registered entities, accounting for 20% of the total 2,548 businesses formalized by non-nationals.

This represents a significant rise from the 415 companies founded by Beninese nationals in 2023, marking a 21% increase. Following them, Nigeriens ranked second with 412 newly established companies, a decrease from the 486 recorded the previous year.

Nigeria, Togo’s neighboring country, secured the third position with 394 new entities, an increase from 364 in 2023. Burkina Faso and Ghana rounded out the Top 5, with 172 and 142 new companies, respectively.

In contrast to the previous year, when India was among the top five nationalities for business creation in Togo, the 2024 ranking is exclusively comprised of West African countries. Overall, 67 nationalities established businesses in Togo, down from 71 in 2023.
