The Bas-Mono 1 commune unveiled its preliminary budget for 2025 to the community at a meeting held in Afagnan last week. The budget totals 344.5 million FCFA, reflecting a 27.48% increase from the previous fiscal year, primarily due to higher state allocations and the implementation of new local taxes.
This financial year, the municipality aims to allocate 63.5% of its projected resources towards various key investment projects.
These initiatives encompass enhancing educational facilities through the construction of new classrooms and the renovation of existing schools; expanding the electricity network by 5.8 km, which includes the installation of public lighting; and procuring municipal equipment to enhance the efficiency of public service management.
