Togo: Three Civil Status Services Added to the National Digital Portal.

In Togo, the digital civil status services for the Golfe 3 commune in Greater Lomé are now available on the official administrative procedures portal. This development was recently announced by local authorities, who have been actively pursuing a digital transformation strategy aimed at modernizing community management and enhancing service accessibility for residents.

Residents can now submit online requests for extracts and full copies of civil status certificates, including those for births, marriages, and deaths. This initiative follows the online launch of these services on the town hall’s website in November 2024, which was made possible through the introduction of electronic birth and death declarations with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

For the Golfe 3 town hall, this transition to digital services represents a significant step towards development and modernization. The municipal authorities stated, “This initiative continues the government’s efforts to streamline administrative processes.”
