In Togo, the Senate, which serves as the second chamber of parliament, is now fully operational with a total of 61 members, comprised of 41 members elected from senatorial elections and 20 appointed by the president of the republic. Following the senatorial elections, the political party representation is as follows: the UNIR party leads with 34 senators, followed by the BATIR party with 2 senators, and the UFC party with 1 senator, along with 1 senator each from CLE, LTA, and ADDI, as well as an independent member. The UNIR party has achieved a significant majority in the Togolese Senate, holding over 80% of the available seats, as reported by the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI).
