Togo and Burkina Faso are on the verge of finalizing a bilateral free-roaming agreement designed to lower communication expenses for subscribers traveling between the two nations. This development was announced after a mission led by Dr. Pasteur Poda, President of the Regulatory Council of ARCEP Burkina Faso, which took place in Lomé from March 24 to 27, 2025.
The discussions between the two regulatory bodies focused on the digital transformation of the telecommunications sector, particularly highlighting Togo’s experience with data-driven regulation. The Burkinabe delegation had the opportunity to tour the ARCEP Togo supervision center, which facilitates real-time monitoring of service quality.
