Customs Procedures and Conflict Resolutions: Intensive Training for Officials.

In Lomé, the Authorized Customs Brokers (CDA) associated with the Professional Union of Authorized Customs Agents of Togo (UPRAD-Togo) have engaged in an intensive capacity-building workshop that commenced on Monday, April 7, 2025.

The three-day event, themed “Optimizing CDA Customs Skills for Enhanced Professional Performance,” is designed to revisit the core principles of the profession, explore customs regimes and disputes, and strengthen the understanding of customs clearance processes.

Patrick Magnon, president of UPRAD, has expressed support for this initiative, emphasizing the necessity for CDAs to “reduce their vulnerability” in light of regulatory and operational challenges.

Koffigan Dodji Akakpo, the union’s Secretary General, stated that the gathering “is part of our ongoing vision to enhance the skills of our members.”
