The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SecDojo at the GITEX Africa 2025 event in Marrakech, Morocco, outlining a collaborative effort to build cyber resilience in Nigeria and the wider region.

The agreement will focus on establishing a Cyber Security Academy in Nigeria, delivering advanced training and simulation programs, developing tailored curricula, and facilitating research and knowledge sharing. These initiatives are designed to address the growing threat of cybercrime and protect critical infrastructure in Nigeria and neighboring countries.

NITDA Director-General Kashifu Inuwa emphasized the importance of investing in human capital as a key element of Africa’s digital transformation. He noted that cybersecurity is essential for ensuring the safe and sustainable growth of the continent’s digital economy.

SecDojo CEO Younes Benzagmout expressed his company’s commitment to contributing to a comprehensive national cyber capacity-building strategy in Nigeria. The partnership represents a significant step towards securing Africa’s digital future and ensuring that the continent is well-equipped to address the evolving landscape of cyber threats
