Lomé – The Togolese government is intensifying efforts to improve access to finance for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through a new partnership between the National Agency for the Promotion and Guarantee of Financing for SMEs/SMIs (ANPGF) and the Togo Postal Corporation (SPT). The agreement, formalized on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, aims to leverage the Post Office’s extensive nationwide network to deliver localized financing solutions.
Signed by Naka Gnassingbé De Souza (ANPGF) and Kwasi Kwadzo Dzodzro (SPT), the partnership will utilize the Post Office as a key operational channel for deploying financing, with a particular focus on reaching entrepreneurs in rural areas often underserved by traditional financial institutions.

The initiative seeks to streamline the support process for SMEs, from identifying promising projects to providing post-financing monitoring, while also improving loan repayment rates.
Established in 2006, the ANPGF has mobilized 17.5 billion FCFA (approximately $29 million USD, based on current exchange rates) for the benefit of 1,400 SMEs by the end of 2024. This new partnership is expected to significantly expand the agency’s reach and impact.
