Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), has publicly declared the commission’s unwavering commitment to the swift and efficient completion of Phase I of the Gbaregolor-Ogulaha Road project. This critical infrastructure endeavor is situated within the Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State and represents a significant investment in the region’s transportation network.

Dr. Ogbuku articulated this commitment during a recent comprehensive assessment tour of the 24-kilometer road project site. The purpose of the tour was to meticulously evaluate the progress of the ongoing construction, proactively identify any potential obstacles or challenges that might impede the project’s timely completion, and to reaffirm the NDDC’s steadfast dedication to delivering tangible and lasting benefits to the communities residing within the Niger Delta region.

During the thorough on-site assessment, Dr. Ogbuku was accompanied by a delegation of key stakeholders, including the Chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Mr. Chiedu Ebie, the Executive Director for Projects, Mr. Victor Antai, as well as respected members of the House of Representatives Committee on the NDDC. The presence of these influential figures underscored the collaborative nature of the project and the shared commitment of all parties involved to ensuring its ultimate success and positive impact on the local communities.

The details of Dr. Ogbuku’s pledge and the assessment tour were formally disseminated to the public through an official statement issued in Port Harcourt on Saturday by the NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs, Seledi Thompson-Wakama. This transparent communication serves to keep the public fully informed about the NDDC’s ongoing activities, strategic priorities, and its dedication to fostering sustainable development within the Niger Delta region. The Gbaregolor-Ogulaha Road project is anticipated to significantly improve transportation infrastructure, enhance connectivity between communities, facilitate economic growth and development, and ultimately improve the overall quality of life for the residents of the area
