President Tinubu Pledges to Restore Peace and Rebuild Lives in Conflict-Hit Communities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has renewed his administration’s commitment to restoring peace, stability, and law and order across Nigeria. Speaking on Tuesday through the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, President Tinubu gave this assurance at the inauguration of the first phase of the Qatar Sanabil Project, a housing scheme for victims of banditry in Kaduna State.

The President declared that Nigeria is in safe hands and that his government is determined to address insecurity head-on. “We will restore law and order. That is an assurance we are giving. It will be done,” Ribadu said, relaying Tinubu’s message during the event.

The Qatar Sanabil Project, developed in partnership with the Qatar Charity Organisation, offers new homes to families displaced by violent attacks. For many of these individuals, the project marks their first step toward stability after years of suffering and uncertainty.

President Tinubu explained that the initiative is part of a broader national agenda aimed at rebuilding lives and restoring dignity to communities torn apart by violence. He stressed that rebuilding physical infrastructure was not enough; the government must also work to rebuild trust, safety, and opportunity.

The event, held in Kaduna, brought together government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and international partners. Each group expressed a shared commitment to national recovery and the importance of lasting solutions.

The President’s message highlighted the urgent need for coordinated action to tackle insecurity. He pointed out that addressing the root causes of violence requires collaboration at all levels—between federal and state authorities, local communities, and international partners like Qatar Charity.

According to Tinubu, the current administration is taking a deliberate and people-centered approach. He noted that under his leadership, the Federal Government is not only targeting armed groups but also supporting those who have been displaced by violence. “These families have endured great pain. It is our duty to give them back their homes, their peace, and their dignity,” the President said.

Malam Ribadu echoed this sentiment. He reaffirmed that national security remains at the top of Tinubu’s priorities. He also stated that improved intelligence gathering, security operations, and local collaboration were already yielding results in regions previously overrun by insecurity.

Kaduna State has witnessed years of attacks by bandits and armed groups, resulting in thousands of casualties and displaced persons. With this housing project, many families will now have a chance to return to normal life. The buildings provide more than shelter—they represent renewed hope, safety, and a fresh start.

President Tinubu concluded by calling on Nigerians to remain united in the face of adversity. He said that peace will return—not just through the use of force, but through development, compassion, and strategic partnerships. He welcomed further collaboration with organizations working to improve lives and rebuild conflict-hit communities.

The inauguration of the Qatar Sanabil Project signals a shift toward long-term recovery and national healing. As more families receive support, the promise of peace becomes more tangible—one home, one community at a time.
