Anagboso: The Microbiologist Cleaning Up Our World

Professor Anagboso’s research on public health and hygiene includes a study titled “Prevalence of bacterial isolates from cell phone surfaces in Madonna University Elele Campus,” published in the Magna Scientia Advanced Biology and Pharmacy journal. This study investigates the bacterial contamination found on cell phones, which are commonly used and frequently exposed to various pathogens.

The research reveals that mobile phones can harbor numerous bacterial strains, potentially contributing to the transmission of diseases if not properly sanitized. This finding underscores the importance of personal hygiene and the sanitation of frequently used items like mobile phones, particularly in environments like universities where large groups of people come into close contact.

Prof. Anagboso’s work contributes to the growing body of knowledge on how everyday items can impact public health and offers practical recommendations for improving hygiene practices in communities. His research highlights the need for increased awareness and proactive measures to reduce the risk of bacterial transmission through mobile phones.
