BOA Togo partners with Fondation Agir Ensemble pour l’Afrique to empower women entrepreneurs.

BOA Togo, the Togolese affiliate of the Bank of Africa Group, has partnered with the Fondation Agir Ensemble pour l’Afrique (AEA) to bolster support for women entrepreneurs. This collaboration is part of the “Le Bond Féminin” initiative, which aims to equip Togolese women in business with essential financial tools and resources.

The partnership emphasizes three primary objectives: offering training programs to enhance the business acumen of women entrepreneurs, creating a mentoring network that connects them with industry experts for tailored advice, and improving access to financing by assisting selected participants in obtaining loans and funding through BOA Togo.

An initial allocation of CFA50 million has been designated to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This initiative seeks to foster a more conducive environment for women to thrive in an evolving economic landscape.

This collaboration underscores BOA Togo’s dedication to empowering women and fostering an inclusive economy. In 2023, the bank also entered into two financing agreements amounting to CFA1.5 billion with the Association des Femmes Chefs d’Entreprises du Togo (AFCET) and the LIM IMPACT group, further enhancing support for women entrepreneurs in Togo.
