The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togo (CCI-Togo) has initiated the establishment of its regional consular offices as part of its decentralization strategy. This process commenced on March 6 in Kpalimé, located in the Kloto prefecture, where the inaugural branch was officially launched.
The objective of this initiative is to enhance the institution’s connection to local economic conditions by creating channels that facilitate communication between economic stakeholders and public authorities. Following the Kpalimé branch, additional representations will be established to amplify the voice of CCI-Togo at the regional level.
These offices will focus on overseeing and coordinating local initiatives that align with the chamber’s goals. They are tasked with implementing the strategic directives set by the national organization while also tailoring their efforts to the unique economic characteristics of each region.
In a landscape that demands improved integration of local economic players, these offices will also serve to inform and motivate operators to become members of CCI-Togo. According to the institution’s president, José Symenouh, this strategy will enhance collaboration between entrepreneurs and local governments, fostering a spirit of consultation and coordinated development.
Once operational, each regional office will be responsible for creating a tailored action plan aimed at boosting the visibility of CCI-Togo and expanding its membership network.
