From 2006 to 2024, SMEs received CFA17.5 billion from the ANPGF.

Togolese small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have benefited from more than CFA17.5 billion in funding through the Agence Nationale de Promotion et de Garantie de Financement des PME/PMI (ANPGF) from 2006 to 2024. This information was recently disclosed by ANPGF, which facilitates access to financing for businesses.

The funding, sourced from banks, has supported approximately 1,400 SMEs across diverse sectors. The ANPGF serves as an intermediary to secure this financing, mitigating risks for banks and simplifying the loan acquisition process for entrepreneurs.

Various funding methods are employed, including bank loan guarantees, where ANPGF commits to covering a portion of the risk for financial institutions. This arrangement enhances businesses’ ability to secure credit.

Another approach involves financing through financial institutions (VIF), developed in collaboration with banks and decentralized finance systems, providing customized solutions for enterprises. Additionally, the ANPGF offers participative loans for SMEs requiring long-term financial assistance.

Beyond funding, the ANPGF is dedicated to enhancing entrepreneurs’ skills. Annually, around 3,000 project leaders receive training and guidance to navigate the challenges of starting or expanding their businesses.

The ANPGF operates under the Ministry of the Economy and Finance and plays a crucial role in promoting SMEs in Togo, consistently engaging with over 2,500 of these enterprises.
