Gozem, a company focused on digital VTC services, has successfully secured $30 million (over 18.7 billion FCFA) to enhance its growth across French-speaking Africa.
This funding, which includes both equity and debt, is spearheaded by SAS Shipping Agencies Services Sàrl, a subsidiary of MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company SA, alongside Al Mada Ventures. Both investors are committed to advancing transport infrastructure and financial services throughout Africa.
Since its inception in 2018 in Lomé, Gozem has provided a range of services including mobility, delivery, digital ticketing, and financing. With this new capital infusion, the company aims to expedite its growth in West and Central Africa, enhance the experience for drivers by easing access to new vehicles, and introduce Gozem Money, a pioneering digital banking solution.
Diego Aponte, President of MSC Group, views this collaboration as part of the group’s commitment to fostering innovative mobility and logistics solutions in Africa. Omar Laalej, Managing Director of Al Mada Ventures, emphasizes Gozem’s inclusive and dependable model, which addresses the increasing demand for accessible digital services on the continent.
