Kogi Governor Ododo Loses 83-Year-Old Father 

The Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, has lost his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who passed away on Monday at the age of 83.

In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the state government described the death of the elder Ododo as a painful loss to both the family and the state.

The statement read:“The passing of Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo is a painful loss to the family and the state. His Janazah (funeral) will be conducted in line with Islamic rites.

“We pray to Allah (SWT) to forgive his shortcomings, accept his good deeds, and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus. We also pray that Almighty Allah grants the Governor, his family, and the entire Ododo family the strength to bear this great loss with fortitude.”

The late Alhaji Ahmed Momoh Sani Ododo, who was widely respected in his community, is survived by children and grandchildren, including Governor Ododo.
