Layal Tinubu’s “Be Empowered” Initiative Awards ₦70M to Women Entrepreneurs

Layal Jade Tinubu, in partnership with the Noella Foundation, awarded over ₦70 million in business grants to 20 women entrepreneurs through the “Be Empowered” initiative.

The Lagos summit, attended by 150 guests, focused on strengthening women-led businesses. From over 2,500 applicants, 200 attended the summit, and 20 received grants after a pitch session and application review.

Tinubu emphasized the importance of economic empowerment for women. The summit included sessions with business leaders and a fireside chat with Tinubu about her entrepreneurial journey. Past participants shared how the program’s grants and bootcamp transformed their businesses.
