Lomé Hosts the Inaugural “BTP Workshops.”

The inaugural Togolese edition of “Ateliers BTP” is taking place this week in Lomé, with the objective of enhancing the skills of professionals in the construction industry.

Launched on Monday, February 17, 2025, under the theme “Quality of Materials and Construction Works,” this three-day event features training workshops, complimentary consultations, and exhibitions focused on six specific trades: building painting, electrical work, masonry, welding, reinforcement, and decoration. This session in Togo follows three previous editions held in Benin.

Amadou Kèyindé, the organizer of the workshops, emphasizes the significance of ongoing education to adapt to technological advancements and market demands.

“The BTP workshops serve as a collaborative platform for stakeholders in the construction industry,” the organizer states. “This initiative is driven by the aim to enhance the professional competencies of construction artisans,” he further notes. The event is being held at the site of the Alternating Training Institute for Development (IFAD) focused on building and energy in Lomé.
