The 20th Lomé International Fair (FIL) will take place from November 28 to December 14, 2025. Preceding this, the 6th edition of the “Made in Togo” Fair will be held from August 1 to 10. The dates for these two trade events were announced on Tuesday, May 6, during the official launch of their promotional campaign at the Togolese Center for Exhibitions and Fairs (CETEF).
This year’s FIL marks a significant milestone, celebrating its 40th anniversary. Launched in 1985, the event, initially biennial, has become an annual fixture and a leading economic event in the region. To commemorate this anniversary, organizers are modernizing the fair’s organization through the launch of a digital platform called e-FIL, accessible via www.e-fil.cetef.tg. This new tool aims to digitize all procedures related to the event for both exhibitors and visitors.
According to Alexandre de Souza, CETEF’s Director General, this digital transformation marks a new stage in the fair’s evolution. “The FIL is becoming a true showcase of Togolese innovation and know-how. Digital technology will play a central role,” he stated at the campaign launch. The e-FIL platform will enable exhibitors to book stands online, visitors to purchase tickets, manage access badges, and schedule professional meetings (both B2B and B2C). It will also feature an automated networking service to facilitate business partnerships.
The implementation of secure online payment aims to reduce fraud and optimize logistics surrounding the event. This initiative is part of a broader effort to digitize business practices in Togo, encouraged by authorities in the context of post-pandemic economic recovery and structural transformation of the productive sector.
The Lomé Fair, which aims to be a premier business meeting place, attracted a record number of visitors during its 19th edition in 2024, with organizers estimating attendance at 704,000 people.
