Lomé is set to host the BOAD Development Days forum on June 12 and 13. This event, organized by the West African Development Bank (BOAD), seeks to initiate a new era in development financing across West Africa, particularly in light of the pressing energy and food challenges that demand structural and sustainable solutions.
The inaugural edition will concentrate on financing the energy transition and promoting sustainable agriculture, aiming to showcase projects backed by the Lomé-based development institution while fostering greater collaboration with other global regions.
Discussions will primarily revolve around two key themes, as noted by the Ecofin Agency: achieving universal electricity access within the UEMOA region and pursuing food sovereignty through resilient agricultural practices.
BOAD’s objective is to convene public policymakers, donors, businesses, and international experts to stimulate innovative and impactful financing solutions.
