MIATO 2025: CETEF will Host the Event.

The fourth edition of the Togo International Crafts Market (MIATO) is scheduled to take place from April 23 to May 4, 2025, in Lomé. Unlike previous editions held at the esplanade of the Palais des Congrès, this year’s event will be hosted at the Togolese Center for Exhibitions and Fairs (CETEF). The organizers made this announcement on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, during the official launch of the new edition.

Togolese authorities have indicated that this venue selection is driven by the aim to provide exhibitors with modern facilities that meet the demands of large-scale exhibitions. The CETEF, specifically designed for such events, is expected to enhance the overall experience for both participants and visitors.

For the 2025 edition, MIATO will focus on the theme: “Protection of Artisanal Works: Issues and Challenges.” The aim is to enhance artisans’ awareness regarding the importance of safeguarding their creations and to implement effective strategies for their protection. To achieve this, several roundtable discussions will be held, featuring experts and international delegations, including Burkina Faso, which will serve as the guest of honor for this edition.

In addition to thematic discussions, MIATO will present a range of cultural and commercial activities. Exhibitions will showcase the diversity and richness of African crafts, complemented by various cultural performances.

It is important to highlight that MIATO is part of an initiative to promote and enhance the continent’s artisanal expertise. It serves as a platform for creators to forge partnerships and strengthen their market presence.
