The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety, and Security announced updates on March 27.
The new e-visa-on-arrival system, which was launched on March 3, 2025, has already processed 10,016 applications.
Namibia’s Cabinet has approved a visa exemption for diplomats from Germany, France, and Switzerland, aiming to enhance diplomatic relations with these nations.
Additionally, the government has introduced new fees for tourists arriving at the harbors of Walvis Bay and Lüderitz. Cruise visitors will now incur a fee of N$300 ($16) for a one-day visit.
Revised fees have also been established for holiday visas, short-term work permits, and visas on arrival.

Adults from African Union (AU) countries will be charged N$1,200 ($64), while those from other nations will pay N$1,600 ($85).
For children aged six to 11, the fees are N$600 ($32) for AU countries and N$800 ($43) for others. Children under six years old will be exempt from visa fees.
Namibia anticipates that these adjustments will draw more tourists and stimulate economic growth.
