NASENI Brings Sustainable Energy to Ibeju-Lekki with Solar Power and Eco-Stove Initiative

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), in partnership with the Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement, has extended its impact to the Ibeju-Lekki community with the provision of innovative home solar systems and eco-friendly stoves.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) drive, NASENI is lighting up homes and improving lives by promoting energy access and environmental sustainability at the grassroots. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the daily lives of residents through clean, renewable energy solutions and safer, healthier cooking methods.

The deployment of NASENI’s Home Solar Solutions ensures that households in Ibeju-Lekki have access to reliable electricity — a much-needed alternative to the national grid. These solar units are helping families power essential devices, light up their homes, and improve their quality of life.

In addition, eco-friendly stoves were distributed to reduce reliance on firewood and cut down indoor smoke pollution. These stoves offer a safer, more efficient cooking experience while also contributing to environmental protection by lowering carbon emissions and reducing deforestation.

This initiative is a clear demonstration of NASENI’s commitment to community empowerment through technology and innovation. It also aligns with the federal government’s broader vision for clean energy adoption, local development, and environmental responsibility.

The project was warmly received by the Ibeju-Lekki community, with residents expressing deep appreciation for the life-changing support. The partnership not only brought light to their homes but also hope for a more sustainable future.

Watch how this impactful gesture touched lives and strengthened the bond between technology, governance, and the people it serves.
