NDDC Scholarship Bonanza: 600 Niger Delta Students to Get Postgraduate Boost

A life-changing opportunity awaits 600 deserving students from the Niger Delta region! The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is dramatically expanding its postgraduate scholarship program, offering a pathway to higher education and a brighter future.

NDDC chief Ogbuku announced the exciting news during scholarship interviews in Port Harcourt, stating that the commission is committed to investing in the next generation of Niger Delta leaders. This year, 600 scholarships will be awarded for postgraduate studies at universities across Nigeria – a significant increase from the 200 foreign scholarships previously offered.

“We believe in the potential of our students,” Ogbuku said. “This expanded scholarship program will empower them to achieve their academic goals and contribute to the development of the Niger Delta region.”

The NDDC is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent selection process. “We want to make sure that these scholarships go to the most qualified and deserving candidates,” Ogbuku emphasized.

The competition for these scholarships is fierce. According to George Uzonwanne, director of education, health, and social services at the NDDC, over 30,000 applications were received. Approximately 6,000 candidates passed the initial computer-based test, and those who scored 70% or higher are now moving on to the final interview stage.

This is a chance for Niger Delta students to unlock their potential, pursue their dreams, and make a real difference in their communities. The NDDC is proud to support these future leaders on their journey to success.
