The Minister of Water Resources and Sanitation, Engr. Joseph Utsev, has once again reaffirmed Nigeria’s firm commitment to the goals of the World Bank–supported Sustainable Urban and Rural Water Supply, Sanitation and Hygiene Programme, known as SURWASH. Speaking on Wednesday, he emphasized that access to clean water and proper sanitation remains central to the country’s development agenda. His message reflected both resolve and optimism, highlighting the government’s determination to deliver essential services that improve health, dignity, and livelihoods across communities.
Engr. Utsev explained that Nigeria’s partnership with the World Bank under the SURWASH programme represents a shared vision of sustainable progress.
