Nigeria to Host Infrastructure Dialogue Focused on Rural Electrification and Sustainable Energy

ABUJA, Nigeria – Top government officials, international investors, and private sector leaders are set to gather in Abuja on April 10 for the third edition of the annual Infrastructure Dialogue, with a focus on the role of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) in addressing Nigeria’s energy access gap.

The summit, organized by Deutsche Partners Holding (DPH) Ltd, is themed “Financing Sustainable Energy and Agriculture Infrastructure for Economic Development.”

A key highlight of this year’s event is the participation of the CEO of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Engr. Abba Aliyu, who is expected to outline Nigeria’s efforts to expand off-grid energy solutions, mini-grid development, and climate-resilient infrastructure in rural communities.

The REA’s initiatives, including solar hybrid projects and public-private energy partnerships, are seen as crucial to unlocking economic opportunities in underserved agricultural areas.

The dialogue aims to foster collaboration around infrastructure finance models, policy reform, and foreign direct investment in Nigeria’s real economy.

Speakers at the event will include government ministers, ambassadors from Mexico, Türkiye, and Australia, as well as business leaders from the energy sector.

The forum will explore the potential of compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable energy in powering industrial growth, particularly in Nigeria’s agriculture sector.

Organizers say that the Infrastructure Dialogue has played a role in keeping infrastructure issues at the forefront of national policy discussions.
