The Nigerian military conducted a series of raids between May 19 and 25 across the oil-rich region of the Niger Delta in southern Nigeria, resulting in the seizure of approximately 589,000 liters of illegally refined petroleum products and the arrest of 20 individuals, according to Lieutenant Colonel Danjuma Jonah Danjuma, a military spokesperson.
