The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Houses for African Nigerians Limited, Mr. Kojo Ansah Mensah, has tendered a formal apology to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, over recent tensions linked to the ongoing ownership dispute concerning River Park Estate.
In a letter addressed to the IGP and shared with The Guardian, Mr. Mensah expressed his company’s sincere regret over any misunderstandings or discomfort that may have arisen in the course of the dispute. He also reaffirmed the company’s respect for the Nigeria Police Force and commended the IGP for his professionalism and consistent dedication to justice.
“We sincerely regret any miscommunication or discomfort that may have arisen in the course of this matter. The Office of the IGP has consistently demonstrated integrity in our engagements, and we remain committed to upholding the highest standards of cooperation,” the letter stated.
Furthermore, Mr. Mensah addressed a recent protest that took place at the Nigerian High Commission in Accra, Ghana. He clarified that the demonstration was not initiated or endorsed by the leadership of Houses for African Nigerians Limited, and the company had no involvement in its organisation.
This development appears to be part of ongoing efforts by the company to reduce tensions surrounding the estate ownership issue and to reinforce its commitment to resolving the matter peacefully and through appropriate legal channels.
Mr. Mensah concluded by reiterating the company’s dedication to lawful engagement and respect for Nigerian institutions, expressing hope that the situation will be resolved in a fair and constructive manner.
