The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has called for increased collaboration among its stakeholders to drive growth in the Nigerian economy.
The call was made at a Stakeholders Engagement Forum and Press Conference for SMEs MINE FEST 2025, held at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry building in Ikeja.
Representing the Director-General of SMEDAN, Olubunmi Kole-Dauda emphasized the DG’s focus on economic growth, highlighting the agency’s “GROW” strategy (Guidance, Resources, Opportunities, and Workforce support). He urged stakeholders to identify their strengths and engage with SMEDAN to support the 40 million Nigerian businesses in its database.

Tito Philips, the organizer of MINE FEST 2025, explained that the event aims to champion local innovation through the MINE Trade Fair in October 2025, showcasing Nigerian products and services.
The festival will also feature the MINE Conference, fostering dialogue on growth, innovation, and policies that impact progress. Additionally, 40 “trailblazing leaders” will be recognized with the Under 40 Nigerian CEOs Awards, celebrating young entrepreneurs who are actively shaping the future. The event will also advocate for government policies that promote local production.
