Tanzania Permits Visa-free Travel for Angolan Citizens.

During a joint appearance with Angolan President João Lourenço in Luanda, President Hassan highlighted the significance of regional unity and interpersonal connections, describing the visa waiver as a pivotal move towards enhanced collaboration and shared prosperity, as reported by the Citizen.

“I am delighted to announce the elimination of tourist visa requirements for Angolan citizens planning to visit Tanzania,” stated President Hassan.

Additionally, President Hassan honored the longstanding friendship between the two countries, a bond established by Tanzania’s founding leader Mwalimu Julius Nyerere and Angola’s inaugural president, António Agostinho Neto.

As part of her official visit, President Hassan will address the Angolan Parliament, marking her as the first female African Head of State to achieve this milestone.

The visa waiver is anticipated to stimulate tourism, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two nations, which formalized their diplomatic relations on August 25, 1981. Both Tanzania and Angola are active participants in the African Union and the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
