Tinubu Commends Emeka Offor Foundation Over Nationwide Medical Book Distribution

President Bola Tinubu has commended oil magnate, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Sir Emeka Offor, for the medical book distribution programme undertaken by his foundation to support healthcare education in Nigeria.

The initiative, carried out by the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation in response to a request from the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, facilitated the procurement and shipment of 10 forty-foot containers of medical and nursing books and journals from the United States to Nigeria.

According to a statement issued on Friday by the President’s Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the books will be distributed to tertiary medical institutions across the country’s six geopolitical zones.

Tinubu said the programme would significantly enhance healthcare education and academic capacity within Nigeria’s medical training institutions.

He noted that the initiative reflects Offor’s commitment to advancing human capital development and strengthening the country’s health sector.

The President also expressed appreciation to the Chief Executive of Chrome Group for his continued support for initiatives that promote education, health and national development.

Tinubu urged Offor to sustain his philanthropic efforts and continue supporting programmes that contribute to the improvement of society.
