Togo: ANADEB Boosts Socio-economic Infrastructure in Three Regions.

Last week, the National Agency for Grassroots Development Support (ANADEB) in Togo officially transferred over 300 socio-economic infrastructures to local communities across the Plateaux, Centrale, and Kara regions. In the Plateaux region, Governor General Dadja Maganawé received 99 facilities, which include classrooms, drinking water boreholes, health centers, and market sheds.

In Sokodé, located in the Central region, the prefect of Tchaoudjo accepted a new set of infrastructure projects comprising school buildings, community centers, photovoltaic boreholes, and markets. These initiatives, set to be completed across 15 municipalities between 2021 and 2024, are designed to enhance the living conditions of the local population sustainably.

Lastly, in the Kara region, 109 infrastructures, including markets, schools, rural roads, and youth centers, were officially handed over to benefit 22 municipalities. The financing for these projects was primarily provided by the Support Fund for Local Authorities (FACT) and the Support Program for Vulnerable Populations (PAPV).

According to the government, these developments are integral to supporting grassroots communities and advancing the decentralization policy.
