Mansoor Hamayun has been appointed advisor to Togolese President Faure Gnassingbé, according to an official announcement made this Friday, May 30, 2025.
Hamayun, the Founder and Chairman of Minexx, a company specializing in sustainable and transparent supply chains for critical minerals, will bring his expertise to support Togo’s national ambitions in sustainable development, entrepreneurship, and the promotion of public-private partnerships across the African continent.
His appointment follows a successful entrepreneurial career in Africa. Prior to Minexx, Hamayun co-founded BBOXX, a company that provided renewable energy solutions to electrify underserved rural areas. As head of the platform, which operates in numerous countries, he enabled millions of Africans to access electricity, impacting local economies.
Known for structuring innovative partnerships with African governments to support inclusive, sustainable, and people-centered policies, Hamayun has raised over $200 million in development capital to finance major projects. His appointment is expected to significantly contribute to the implementation of Togo’s key initiatives.
