Togo: INPIT Inveils New Visual Identity.

The National Institute of Industrial Property and Technology (INPIT) in Togo has introduced a new logo, which was officially revealed on April 30, 2024, at a ceremony in Lomé held at the Sarakawa Hotel, attended by industry leaders and government officials.

This logo was selected through a national design competition initiated last February, with Pierre-Henri Kouabo winning the top prize of 800,000 CFA francs. Other notable winners included Sewa Kodjo Akovi and B. Gautier M. Folly, who received 200,000 and 100,000 CFA francs respectively. The competition attracted 118 participants and aimed to engage young talents in the field of industrial property. Essè Yovo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of INPIT, highlighted that the new logo symbolizes a progressive Togo, reinforcing the commitment to innovation as a key driver of economic competitiveness.

Adja Tchandikou, the interim director of INPIT, further elaborated on the institute’s role as the operational branch of OAPI in Togo, which manages patent, trademark, and design applications while promoting awareness among local SMEs and inventors.
