Togo has launched a national awareness campaign to promote greater adoption of its Togo Trade Portal platform by economic operators. The platform, launched in March, is currently undergoing this promotional effort led by the Ministry of Commerce, Crafts, and Local Consumption.
The campaign began on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in Lomé, initially targeting stakeholders in the soybean industry. The primary focus is on awareness-raising and training sessions designed to familiarize economic operators with the platform’s functionalities.
Participants will receive a detailed overview of the import, export, and transit procedures for strategic products, as outlined on the portal. The ministry’s objective is to enable them to better understand the commercial process and master its various stages.

The Togo Trade Portal offers reliable and up-to-date data on the national trade environment. It centralizes current laws and regulations, required forms, and applicable fees, and allows users to complete several administrative procedures remotely, eliminating the need for in-person visits.
Developed in partnership with the International Trade Centre as part of the “AMI Commerce Togo” project (Access to International Markets), the platform is part of a broader effort to increase transparency and facilitate trade.
The popularization campaign is scheduled to last just over a week and will involve economic operators from various sectors across the country.
