Togolese Angela Aquereburu has been appointed as the head of SRTB (Société de Radio et de Télévision du Bénin). This announcement was made public on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, following a Council of Ministers meeting in Togo.
Angela Aquereburu Rabatel, recognized for her proficiency in television production and her dedication to advancing African audiovisual content, will now also serve as the director of the national television station, Benin TV. She takes over from Freddy Koudahoua and faces numerous challenges including modernizing facilities, enhancing viewership, and diversifying content to cater to a more discerning audience.
In Togo, she is particularly celebrated for her recent projects, such as the highly successful web series Ahoé.
As a director, producer, and author of fiction, as well as a television presenter and showrunner, she has played a significant role in various acclaimed productions, including the show Les Maternelles d’Afrique, the short film L’Interrogatoire, and the series Hospital IT and Oasis.
