ARISE News Special Correspondent, James Blue, has said King Charles III’s visit to the United States is primarily aimed at easing tensions between both countries and restoring diplomatic balance.
Speaking during an interview on ARISE News on Tuesday, Blue emphasized that the visit comes at a time when relations between the United States and the United Kingdom have become strained.
“I think King Charles and Queen Camilla are here to sort of soften things over and to really try to bring things… back together.”
He explained that recent disagreements between leaders of both countries have led to a noticeable strain in their relationship.
According to him, the royal visit is intended to repair that strain and reestablish the closeness that has historically defined US-UK ties.
“So some of the closeness that has been the real hallmark of the US-UK cooperation can actually return.”
Blue noted that the King’s role in this context is not political, but diplomatic in a symbolic and unifying sense.
He stressed that the visit provides an opportunity to reduce friction without direct political confrontation.
The correspondent added that the timing of the visit makes it particularly significant, given ongoing international disagreements affecting both nations.
He maintained that the goal is not policy change, but relationship repair.
Blue concluded that the success of the visit will be measured by its ability to ease tensions and restore mutual cooperation.
“I think it is significant… in terms of the ongoing relationship between the United States and the United Kingdom.”
